Mexico is cooperating with the US so there isn’t a chaos or violence on their shared border as U.S. COVID-19 restrictions – often known as Title 42 – come to an finish, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador mentioned Thursday. The restrictions, which have blocked a whole bunch of 1000’s of migrants caught on the U.S.-Mexico border from searching for asylum since 2020, are set to finish Thursday night, resulting in an anticipated leap within the variety of migrants arriving on the border. Lopez Obrador added authorities have been working within the southwestern area to “defend” migrants. As Title 42 ends, FRANCE 24 is joined by Caroline Fredrickson, Senior Fellow on the Brennan Heart for Justice and Distinguished Visiting Professor from Apply at Georgetown Regulation.
